Class Descriptions

Breathe Hard, Burn Hard

This moderate intensity class allows for a sustainable level of effort throughout that is designed to keep the participant’s heart rate in the “fat-burning” zone, similar to a level attained while using a cardio machine. The benefit over a cardio machine will be that all of the muscle groups will be used, which builds strength and burns more calories than cardio only.

Foam Rolling and Stretching

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FOAM ROLLER IF POSSIBLE! During this class participants will learn how to use a foam roller effectively to prevent muscle and joint pain. Additionally, stretching techniques will be demonstrated. This class is low intensity and not meant be physically exhausting, however using a foam roller can increase the heart rate and cause muscle fatigue/soreness.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

This HIIT class will follow a format designed to have participants perform 100% effort exercises for short bursts of time. The benefit to this exercise format is that the participant will increase their power output by training their body to move in an explosive manner. Increased power output increases athleticism and burns more calories in a shorter amount of time when compared to less intense exercise. An extensive warm-up and cool down is included and recommended to participate in for this class. THIS CLASS IS MOST EFFECTIVE WHEN THE PARTICIPANT IS WILLING PUSH THEMSELVES AS HARD AS POSSIBLE DURING THE EXERCISE INTERVAL.

TRX/Turf

This class will pair participants together. While one person is using a TRX to perform a strength exercise, the other person will be performing a complementary exercise using other equipment in the turf area. Once the designated time interval is completed, the pair of participants will switch equipment and perform the paired exercise. Intensity level will be controlled by participants with strength and endurance being the main benefits.
